2012

Last post i mentioned the next election will be on 2012.

After writing that I couldn't get that date out of my head.  I went home and while I was doing normal day to day things i had it back there trying to remember what it was that I associated that year with.  At first i thought it was the date of the sequal to 2001: A Space Odyssey but I checked that and the year was 2010: The Year We Made Contact.

Something about 2012 stuck in my mind.  What else can you do but throw the year into Wikipedia.

That is what I remembered hearing before, for some reason in my mind i relate 2012 to the end of the world.  

Morbid, Scary, Paranoid, Ridiculous, all of these are reasonable reactions to someone claiming the end of the world.  I just think it is funny that the end of all creation is going to be on an election year.  Maybe that is the biggest reason why 2012 could be the end of the world.

I certainly do not believe that the Mayan culture knew when the world would end, and I don't think in 2012 anything more than the usual stuff will happen.  But, if we did know the end of the world was 4 years away i wonder how life would continue.

What would i do differently?
