Thursday Night Volleyball

I found a volleyball league. I guess I didn't find it, one of my old teammates hooked me up with my current teammates who played in the league and after a couple tournaments when he found out where I live he called to me to replace a sick player.

Now i am the alternate player for three teams. If they need someone to play they call me. This works perfect for me, I have played the last 4 or 5 weeks on different teams and have not needed to commit to one team.

Since i have been playing for a couple weeks now people are getting used to seeing me and I am making new friends who play volleyball. I am getting invites to different leagues and over the summer there are a lot of different volleyball related things going on. This is an unexpected bonus to moving to my new place, i will be able to play so much more. I haven't been able to play this much since I was on the UConn team.

I'm Not Even Suppose To Be Here Today

I was watching Clerks the other day and I forgot how old it is.

1994.

Fourteen years ago no one really had a cell phones, portable or useful computers didn't exist. They wore big Reeboks and acid washed jeans. They worked at a convenience store and at no point does someone use a debit card.

What a strange world 1994 was.

Job Responsibilities

It has been a while since a true blog post.

So i will break that streak today.

The main part of working as a security guard in a small company is being able to put the flag up in the morning. The security guard has no real power and cannot do anything other than call the real police if anything happens, but that flag is always up in the morning and down at night.

Companies, beaches, schools, and government buildings all have security just to get that flag up. Some places don't have security and usually the janitor gets the job.
