I moved into my new place one week ago.
1 week in the grand picture is nothing but I have noticed a couple interesting things that have happened since the move.
First, and most importantly, I have this new sense of freedom. My entire life I have been living in a shared home, obviously i have been living with my parents most of that time, but even when i moved into my apartments at college i was still connected to roommates. I enjoyed my roommates, but now i am completely alone in a place I own. Every day so far I have taken just a deep breath in my condo and smiled. I get a feeling of pride just because i am moving onward with life.
the rest of the things i have noticed are not nearly as important as the first but still interesting. I don't need much to survive. I have a couch (which has not been used yet) a bed and my computer. This is my entire furnishings and I get along just fine.
When you live alone, you know what you have and don't have. When I open the fridge when i get home, everything that I put in it is still in the exact same spot. This doesn't sound like much but I don't think I ever noticed how much stuff in the fridge gets eaten or moved around before.
Yes, I do walk around naked.
Planning becomes a priority. I noticed that when I leave the place i want to make the most out of the trip so i don't have to go back out. I plan on what day i go to the supermarket, what my meals will be, and when i will take out the trash. Again this is something small but I don't think i ever noticed how important it is and now if I don't do it no one will.
I have a lot of work to do on this new place but I am really happy so far. Eventually I will get the old camera out and take some pics.
