Time Magazine's Invention of the YearI don't have one, I think eventually I will get one but I am content for now. Isn't it November 2nd? Don't we have some time left for new inventions. I don't like how everything we do now is getting pushed up and hurried.
I didn't know i was going this way when i started this but since i am here... What's the deal with all the rushing! I was watching TV last night and they said that black Friday will now be sooner and the next couple weekends will be the lowest prices ever. Time is giving the invention of the year award away on November 2nd. My XM is playing Christmas music starting the day after Halloween.
I know I said a couple posts ago how I don't like the winter and want to rush through it (and thanks for the "Emo" comment Aj), but come on. Christmas garbage starts after thanksgiving and the invention of the year should wait at least until December. I know I get caught up with the technology and speeding up everything about my life making it easier or more productive. I also know when i do too much too fast I feel unsatisfied (except alcohol).
Do not get me wrong, i do not want everything to go back to the dark ages before computers, the internet, or cell phones. I just want to have a day to not be pressured about what is coming up. This doesn't seem to be the mentality of our society.
Who am I kidding, if I had a day to do nothing I would be bored.
